Princess Kate, who maintained secrecy around her recent abdominal surgery, appears cheerful as she shares moments with children in a newly released video. Currently recovering at home with the support of her husband, Prince William, and their three children, the Princess of Wales spreads love and smiles in a video posted by The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood on Instagram.
This video commemorates the first anniversary of “Shaping Us,” a special project dear to the future Queen’s heart, launched in January 2023 to emphasize the significance of the early years in a person’s life.

The video showcases various engagements undertaken by Kate in the past 12 months related to her campaign.
The future Queen is depicted in good spirits, actively contributing to shaping the future generation during her visits to diverse locations. Kate’s endeavors took her from classrooms with youngsters to the rugby field, where she visited the Maidenhead Rugby Club in June to discuss the impact of male caregivers and sports on children.
Celebrating the one-year milestone since the launch of #ShapingUs, the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood captioned their post, “What a year it’s been!”
The campaign emphasizes the unique importance of early childhood, highlighting that from pregnancy to the age of five, our brains develop faster than at any other time in our lives. The experiences, surroundings, and relationships during this early stage significantly shape the adults we become and the society we collectively create.
The video also features Princess Kate’s poignant words, “People often ask me why I focus my time on early childhood. Well, the answer is because I care deeply about making a positive difference in helping the most vulnerable and supporting those who are most in need.”
